May I introduce?
At this place in our blog we would like to introduce you to our Master Trainers. The people that spread the word about our training philosophy and impart this knowledge in official aerobis Certification Workshops. So right here you will get to know all the aeroSlingified coaches that will share their knowledge with you.
We start this series off with Jens Pilkahn. Jens is a prospective sports teacher from Moers. On the side, however, he has been working as a fitness coach and personal trainer for years. The number of aerobis products in his gym has become uncountable and he knows our equipment inside out. His training is always functional and he lives to enthuse you about functional training. Introducing Jens Pilkahn
Tell us something about your professional qualifications and your own sports background!
I am a prospective sports teacher and have been actively working as a course instructor in gyms in NRW since I started my studies.
Where does your focus lie in training?
Holism and furthering all motor abilities.
How did you learn about the equipment by aerobis?
I was looking for sling trainers and tested several solutions. I have chosen the aeroSling for my training.
Why did you do the aerobis Master Trainer certification?
I enjoy teaching and training people and, most of all, I like to show them new ways to train like land paddling.
What characterizes you as a coach?
I always give my best and spare neither trouble nor expense to train my clients efficiently. I am good at teaching movements.
What are the most beautiful aspects of your job?
Helping my clients feel better and improve their quality of life.
Which aspect could you easily do without?
Unpunctuality of the clients.
Why is sport so important?
Health is the most important thing in life. Sport will help you improve/maintain your health and your well-being.
What time of day is the best time for training?
Shortly after getting up in the morning.
What is your favorite exercise and why?
Muscle up. It is a complex exercise that is very effective for the upper body.
If you could give just one tip to every athlete in the world – what would it be?
When you reach the point where you don’t want to train anymore, that’s when your training starts.
